Minis Dance Team
5 to 6 years old
Dance competitions for mini dancers can be a great way for them to build confidence, work together as a team, and performance environments. Mini Dance Competition also help develop discipline and resilience. For NCDC it’s important to make sure these experiences are age-appropriate and focus on having fun and growing as dancers, rather than just winning.

Petites Dance Team
7 to 9 Years Old
Dance competitions for petite dancers can be a great way for them to build confidence, work together as a team, and learn about different dance styles and performance environments. Mini Dance Competition also help develop discipline and resilience. For NCDC it’s important to make sure these experiences are age-appropriate and focus on having fun and growing as dancers, rather than just winning.

Juniors Dance Team
10 to 12 years old
Competitive dance for juniors offers a wide range of advantages, including enhanced self-assurance, improved physical well-being, refined social abilities, and a profound sense of achievement. Furthermore, it provides avenues for collaboration, self-discipline, and the cultivation of stage presence. Beyond its technical elements, competitive dance nurtures an appreciation for dance and facilitates the holistic development of young individuals, both as dancers and as persons.

Pre-Teen Dance Team
13 to 15 years old
Competitive dance offers numerous advantages for adolescents, fostering the development of confidence, teamwork, and essential life skills. It provides platforms for performance and exposure to diverse dance styles and instructors. Additionally, it cultivates a sense of achievement and pride, while simultaneously establishing a supportive network with teammates.

Competition Dance Teams Auditions 2026-2027
Tuesday, June 9th at NCHF&D
Minis 4:00pm to 5:00pm
Petites 5:00pm to 6:00pm
Juniors 6:00pm to 7:00pm
Teens 7:00pm to 8:00pm
Arrive 10 minutes before the audition begins.
Dress Code: pink or black leotard, pink or black shorts, neat high bun, bring all your dance shoes. Bring plenty of water.
