Welcome to our community! We are passionate about helping our students become the best versions of themselves. Our focus is on teaching and encouraging the love for dance and respect dance, while helping dancers to become artist and we believe that quality dancing is essential. Dance is not just an art form, it's a way of life. At North County Dance Center, we believe that dance is essential for physical and mental health. Our community is dedicated to providing a bright and beautiful dance experience for all our students. We value integrity and are committed to fostering a love and respect for dance in everyone who walks through our doors.


Ana Mendoza Hendrix
Ana started Gymnastics at age 3 to 11. From there, she transitioned to an Intensive Ballet training at age 9 to 11 years old at Performing Arts University from UANL (Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León) . At 11 years old, at ESMDM from INBA until she was 15 years old. After that, Ana had to prepare to audition to get into college with Ballet del Nuevo Siglo where she played solo variations such as Lilac Fairy and White Swan. Ana graduated from her Bachelor's Degree in Dance Education in 2012. Since then, Ana has started to focus on learning and mastering other styles including Ballroom, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Jazz Funk, Lyrical, Modern and Musical Theater. Currently, she continues to perform in plays and shows as a freelancer.

• Escuela Superior de Música y Dance de Monterrey, Monterrey, NL, Mexico - Bachelors in Dance Education, Specialized in Ballet, Graduated 2012.
• American Ballet Theater, Monterrey, NL, Mexico - based in New York - Certification for Teaching Curriculum from ABT in elementary levels, Certified 2013.
• Progressive Ballet Technique, Mexico City, Mexico - Teacher Program Certification in all levels, Certified 2018.
• Nan Giordano Certification Program, in Chicago - Certification for Teaching American
Jazz Dance Curriculum from NGCP in basic, beginner, intermediate, advanced and
professional levels, Certified 2022.
• Universidad del Valle de México, Monterrey, NL, Mexico - Masters in Business with
Marketing, Graduated 2022.
Tamara Rodriguez
Tamara Rodriguez, born in Monterrey, Mexico, is a multi-talented singer, songwriter, actress, and dancer currently based in San Diego. She began her artistic journey at the age of 15, starring in the popular Telemundo reality show Quinceañera: Mamá Quiero Ser Artista (Sweet Fifteen: Mom, I Want to Be an Artist). A year later, she was selected from over 10,000 hopefuls to compete as one of 30 finalists on Univision’s Buscando a Timbiriche, La Nueva Banda.Tamara's dedication to her craft earned her a scholarship to Berklee College of Music, where she graduated cum laude with a dual major in Voice and Songwriting. While at Berklee, she continued performing internationally, including a standout moment singing with Lawrence Watson at Boston’s Governor’s Ball in 2009, where President Barack Obama was in attendance. Her career spans more than 50 theatrical productions across Southern California, showcasing her versatility as a performer. Tamara’s film credits include Sugar Silence and Everyday Violence, Cholo Zombies, and Tazmania. As a concert artist, she has performed at the Nokia Theatre Live with Shakhar Binespajooh alongside the L.A. Philharmonic and at the Lena Horne Tribute at the Isabella Gardner Museum.Tamara has also achieved success as a recording artist, with album credits including Infinite Energy and Radiance (Buddha Music Group). Her songwriting talents have been internationally recognized, earning her an award for her original composition, "I Talked to Italiano."
